Vision Month 2025 Recap: Overturn

As we stepped into 2025, Vision Month at Transformation Christian Fellowship was a powerful time of prophetic revelation, renewal, and direction. This year, God gave us a defining theme: Overturn—a divine declaration that He is shifting, shaking, and flipping circumstances for His glory. Throughout January, we gathered with expectation, seeking the Lord’s vision for our church, our personal lives, and the world around us.

Week 1: A Divine Flip – Ezekiel 21:27

We launched Vision Month with a prophetic foundation from Ezekiel 21:27, where God declares:"Overthrown, overthrown, I will make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, until He comes whose right it is, and I will give it to Him."

This passage set the tone for the entire month as we explored how God is overturning systems, dismantling obstacles, and establishing His divine order. Many of us came into 2025 carrying challenges from the previous year, but we were reminded that nothing is beyond God’s power to flip in our favor.

Key Takeaways:

  • Overturning is not just about change—it’s about divine alignment.

  • Some things must be torn down for God’s kingdom to be fully established.

  • Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of God’s overturning work, reclaiming what rightfully belongs to Him.

Week 2: Overturning Striving – Luke 5:1-11

In Luke 5:1-11, we saw how Jesus overturned the striving of Peter and his fellow fishermen. After a long, exhausting night of catching nothing, Jesus told Peter to cast his nets again. Against all logic and experience, Peter obeyed—and the result was an overwhelming, miraculous catch.

This moment wasn’t just about fish; it was about shifting from self-effort to divine direction. Many of us struggle with striving in our own strength—whether in our careers, relationships, or spiritual lives. Yet, when we surrender to God's word and timing, He brings the breakthrough.

Key Takeaways:

  • Striving without God leads to exhaustion; obedience leads to overflow.

  • Miracles happen when we shift from self-reliance to full dependence on God.

  • Jesus' call to Peter was not just about fishing—it was an invitation to a greater purpose.

We were challenged to stop striving and start trusting in God's provision, timing, and plans. The same way Jesus called Peter to be a fisher of men, He is calling us into a greater purpose beyond our striving.

Week 3: The Flip – Genesis 48:12-20

This week, we explored one of the most profound biblical moments of divine reversal—Jacob blessing Ephraim and Manasseh in Genesis 48:12-20.

When Joseph brought his two sons before Jacob, he positioned them according to tradition: Manasseh, the firstborn, on Jacob’s right hand for the greater blessing, and Ephraim, the younger, on Jacob’s left. However, Jacob, led by the Spirit, crossed his hands—placing his right hand on Ephraim, the younger son, and his left hand on Manasseh, the older son.

The Flip was unexpected, but it was intentional. Joseph tried to correct his father, thinking it was a mistake, but Jacob assured him that this was God’s doing. God flipped the expected order to establish His divine plan.

Key Takeaways:

  • God’s ways are not man’s ways—He flips expectations to fulfill His will.

  • Favor is not about human order but divine purpose.

  • What looks like a mistake may actually be a setup for something greater.

Many times, we assume that blessings or breakthroughs must come in a certain order, but God has a way of flipping things in our favor. Some of us have felt overlooked, but just like Ephraim, God’s hand is moving in unexpected ways!

Week 4: A Church Anointed for an Overturn – 1 Thessalonians 1:4-8

We closed out Vision Month by declaring that our church is anointed for an overturn!

In 1 Thessalonians 1:4-8, Paul reminds the church that they were chosen by God and that the gospel came to them not just in word, but in power, in the Holy Spirit, and in deep conviction. As a result, the Thessalonian church became an example to believers everywhere.

Likewise, God has anointed our church in this season to be a catalyst for divine overturns—not just in our lives, but in our communities and culture. We are not just called to witness an overturn; we are called to be a part of it!

Key Takeaways:

  • The church is not powerless—we are chosen and anointed for impact.

  • God’s power transforms us, and then uses us to transform the world.

  • We are to boldly proclaim and live out the gospel, trusting that God is overturning things through us.

This message challenged us to walk in bold faith, expect revival, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in this season of divine flipping. We are not just waiting for change—we are part of God’s movement to bring His will into the earth!

Final Encouragement

What areas in your life need an overturn?

  • Is there a situation where you need to see God move?

  • Are there mindsets, habits, or fears that need to be overturned?

  • Are you ready to walk boldly in the new thing God is doing?

As we continue this year, let’s remain prayerful, expectant, and ready to embrace the divine flips God has in store!
